View of the prizes for the DP23 edition
Founded in 2019 with the aim of fostering a dialogue between contemporary art and the territory of the Duchy of Parma and Piacenza, DucatoPrize focuses its attention on national and international artists whose research is capable of sparking critical reflection on the most significant and pressing aspects of the present.
Prize format

DucatoPrize is divided into two categories: Contemporary and Academy. The Prize culminates in an exhibition showcasing the ten finalist works—five from the Contemporary section and five from the Academy category. The initiative aims to reward both artists who have already embarked on a path within the contemporary art world and younger artists still enrolled in educational institutions, in order to support and stimulate their growth.

Categories

Contemporary
Aimed at all artists, national and international, no age limit.

Academy
Aimed at students enrolled in Academies and Art Institutes, national and international, public and private.

DucatoPrize reserves the right to award additional special mentions, acquisitions and production prizes

Exhibitions

The exhibition will take place from September to November 2025 in Piacenza at the Cappella Ducale venue of the Palazzo Farnese
